#Takahiro Fujita
Born in 1985 in Date City, Hokkaido, Japan. Born in Date City, Hokkaido, Japan, he launched Marm and Gypsy in 2007 and has been in charge of writing and directing all of the company's productions since then. He has written and directed all of the company's productions since then, and won the 56th Kishida Kunio Drama Award for his trilogy “Kaeri no Tsuna, Materu Shokutaku, Soko, Kitto, Shiofuru Sekai,” released between June and August 2011. In 2013, he adapted Machiko Today's manga “cocoon,” inspired by girls mobilized for the Battle of Okinawa at the end of the Pacific War, for the stage (to be performed again in 2015 and 2022). For this work, he won the Outstanding Director Award at the 23rd Yomiuri Theater Awards in 2016. Recent works include “equal”, “Dream a Dream”, and “Chair/IL POSTO”, a co-production with Italy. Outside of theater productions, he also works on exhibitions and writes books, and last year published his first full-length novel “T/S” (Chikuma Shobo).
