#Atsushi Sasaki
Critic. Born in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, in 1964. After working at an arthouse cinema, he began contributing to film and music-related media. In 1995, he launched “HEADZ,” handling CD releases, artist bookings, concert and event planning and production, and magazine publishing, while also engaging in criticism spanning film, music, literature, theater, art, and other genres. Since 2001, he has served as a part-time lecturer at Keio University, Musashino Art University, Tokyo University of the Arts, and others. He has also held positions including Visiting Professor at Waseda University's School of Letters and Chief Lecturer at Genron's “Criticism Regeneration School.” Co-owner of the multi-space “SCOOL.” Currently serves as Chief Lecturer for the Language Expression Course “School of Words” at the Film School of Japan, Part-time Lecturer at Waseda University, and Adjunct Lecturer at Rikkyo University. Author of numerous books. His latest publication is “Made in Japan: How to Sell Japanese Culture Overseas” (Shueisha Shinsho).
