Born in Miyagi Prefecture. Founder and director of Roro. Playwright. Director. Founded Roro in 2009 as its director, writing and directing all productions. He weaves together his pure feelings toward the diverse cultures he has absorbed, like a patchwork, crafting narratives around moments of various “encounters.” In 2015, he launched the “Itsutaka Series” dedicated to high school students. This series presents 60-minute ensemble plays adhering to high school theater rules, aiming to revitalize high school theater through initiatives like free play publication and free admission/play usage for high school students and younger. Major works include “Itsutaka Series vol.1~vol.10” (2015~), ‘BGM’ (2023), and the play and tanka collection ‘After Getting Bored’ (2024). Beyond scriptwriting, he actively contributes lyrics, leads workshops, and engages in diverse activities beyond theater's boundaries. In 2019, he won the 16th Confidence Award Drama Prize for Best Screenplay for his work on the NHK evening drama “Fujoshi, Ukkari Gay ni Kokoru.”
