YO LA TENGO will hold its first Japan tour in about five years.
YO LA TENGO was formed in 1984 in Hoboken, NJ by Ira and Georgia, who were both music writers at the time, and in 1991, bassist James joined the band to form the current three-piece, which has since produced alternative classics such as 1997’s “I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One” and other alternative masterpieces. In February of this year, they released their 16th and most recent album, “This Stupid World.
YO LA TENGO is scheduled to perform at Fuji Rock this year for the first time in 10 years, and official advance reservations for their Japan tour are being accepted from Tuesday, July 18 to Tuesday, August 1.
